Bobby Lee Conard Sr.

Bobby Lee Conard Senior, aged 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family who have been there all of his life, and constantly there for the last four months. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, where he was very active, willing and dedicated to God’s Willing Hands food pantry and all other activities of the church and community. Bobby Conard Senior was preceded in death by his parents Reverend James Blaine Conard and Myrtle Lee Conard, brothers J.B. Conard Junior and Glen Conard, sister in law Janice Lovell Conard, niece Melissa Ann Hale Brooks, and nephew Danny Roy McGaha and Family. He was survived by the love of his life, his queen for fifty-five years, his loving wife, Brenda Dennis Conard, Two children, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. His children: daughter Patricia Sue Phillips and her husband Marty Phillips, and his son Bobby Lee Conard Junior and his wife Robin Herron Conard. His beloved grand-children that he cherished dearly until his last hours: Kevin Conard, Jeremiah Phillips and his wife Codi Phillips, Corey Phillips and his wife Sarah Phillips, Joshua Phillips and his wife Karla Phillips, Benjamin Conard, Stephanie Phillips and Sarah Conard. His great-grandchildren who he lovingly referred to as “the little ones”: Kagen Phillips, Leeah Phillips, Avery Phillips and Hudson Phillips (Children of Jeremiah and Codi Phillips). Skyla Phillips, Shaylee Phillips, Augustus Phillips and Wyatt Phillips (Children of Corey and Sarah Phillips). Elisabeth Phillips and Zechariah Phillips (Children of Joshua and Karla Phillips). He was also survived by brothers Dale Conard (Waynesville, N.C.), Wayne Conard (Jamestown, T.N.) and sisters Lorane and husband Mike Runyan (Newport, T.N.), Myrna and husband Chuck Livesay (Kingsport, T.N.), Karen and husband Jake Hale (Parrottsville, T.N.), and Rebecca and husband Danny McGaha (Bybee, T.N.). Bobby Conard Senior was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, Church family and Community friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to UT Medical Center for all of the care over the years. Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, Special nurse Kathy Davis and Chaplain Steve Blanchard. Service to be conducted by Roger Whaley, his pastor for two years. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 on Monday in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Whaley officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in the Hannah-Conard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to God’s Willing Hands Food Pantry, P.O.
