Wayne Ivy On Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, Bobby Wayne Ivy, age 77, of Edwina, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a battle with aplastic anemia and acute leukemia. Bobby Wayne Ivy and Vida Roella Ball Ivy were married on December 29, 1961. They enjoyed a faithful marriage farming together, raising children together, and worshipping Christ together at Webb Baptist Church and Shady Grove Baptist Church. Wayne was a talented farmer, mechanic, and craftsman. He enjoyed cooking for his family and picking stringed instruments on his porch. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Ada Ivy; his brothers, Orville, Ferd, Fred (Babe), Glen, and Charles Ivy; and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Roella Ball Ivy; his children, Waynella (Tommy) Large, Wayney Ivy, Vida (John) Bell, and Willie (Angie) Ivy; his grandchildren, Scotty (Jennifer) Large, John Luke Bell, Isaiah (Kaitlyn Huskey, fiancé) Ivy, Meredith Ivy Bell, Emerald (Austin Loveday, fiancé) Shaver, and Spencer Shaver; his greatgrandchildren, Evan Large, Riley and Wyatt Banks. He is also survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (Don) Morgan and Nellie Webster; nephews, Joe Ivy, Roger Ivy, Mike Ivy, Jack Henry, Ruble Henry, Johnny Ivy, Billy Ivy, Dwight Ivy, Bobby Ivy, Maurice Ivy, Stephen Hannah and Nathan Hannah; nieces, Rebecca Ivy, Orlevia Ivy, Kathy Crosby, Susan Seaton, Lisa Walker, and Patti Talley; sisters-in-law, Huberta (Garland) Hannah, Pauline Ivy, Vergie Ivy, Connie Ivy, Lee Oma Ivy, and Dorcas Ivy. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18th 2017, with a memorial service following at 7:00 p.m. in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19th 2017 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A very special thank you to Dr. Thomas Conway, Tammy Francis, and the staffs of the Primary Care Center, Smoky Mountain Home Health, and Newport Medical Center.
