Imogene “Sissy” Mason Chesteen Andrews, age 73, of Newport, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022. She was born in Charlotte, NC on July 24th, 1949, but has been a resident of Newport since 1962. She graducated from Cocke County High School in 1967 and operated a day care at her home for 24 years. She was a mother of three children, Mechelle, Brian and Chad. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Bob Chesteen, son “Chad” Chesteen both of Newport, grandson Dustin Lee White, parents, Eugene and Ina Mae Mason, of Newport, grandparents, Ernest and Princy Mason of Newport, Garfield and Eula Ramsey of Newport, great-granddaughters, Jaycee Chesteen and Ava Hall, son-in-law, Shayne Woodson of Newport, special “sister” cousin, Patricia Cureton of Newport, special uncles, James Ramsey of Newport, Cleyon Mason of NC.
