John “Bobby” Hancock, age 55, of Marathon, Florida passed away on August 18, 2023. It is with heavy hearts and bittersweet smiles that we bid farewell to a man who truly embodied the spirit of adventure and joy. John "Bobby" Hancock, a fun-loving and sweet soul, has left this world after a life filled with wild and crazy escapades that will forever be etched in our memories. Born on July 16, 1968, North Adams, Massachusetts to John Robert Hancock and Doris Mae Hancock was destined to live life on his own terms. From a young age, he possessed an insatiable curiosity and an infectious zest for life that drew people towards him like moths to a flame. His mischievous grin and twinkling eyes were a testament to the countless adventures he embarked upon. John’s journey through life was nothing short of extraordinary. He fearlessly embraced every opportunity that came his way, leaving no stone unturned. His love for adrenaline-pumping activities knew no bounds, and he could often be found riding his ATV, on one of his boats, traveling in his RV’s, walking in the Smoky Mountains, helping others, or chatting with strangers who soon became friends. Beyond his wild side, John had a heart of gold. His kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who knew him. He had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, effortlessly brightening even the darkest of days. His infectious laughter and quick wit were a constant source of joy, and his presence could turn any gathering into a lively celebration. John was an amazing husband, brother and true friend always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear or give you the shirt off his back. His generosity knew no bounds, and he would go to great lengths to ensure the happiness of those around him. Whether it was spontaneous road trips or throwing unforgettable parties, he had a knack for creating memories that would last a lifetime. As we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, let us also celebrate the incredible life he led. Bobby's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. His legacy of living life to the fullest, embracing adventure, and spreading joy will continue to inspire us all. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory forever remind us to live each day with the same wild and crazy spirit that he embodied. He was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Hancock. He is survived by his wife Tatiana Hancock (Baranova); son, John Robert Hancock, Jr; daughters, Anastasia Baranova and Natalia Baranova (Irina); brothers, James Francis Hancock (Laurie); sisters, Doris Marie Karampatsos (Andreas), Laurie Anne Eckert (Stewart) and Tracy Faye Davis; one grandchild, Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews, including Colby, Kyle, Heath, James and Cassandra Danforth and Jeffrey Hancock; along with other family members and friends.
