June Nease

June Nease, age 84, of Newport, went home to be with the Lord, July 7, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Neases was the widow of Fay Nease, who went to be with the Lord, May 2, 1990. She was a member of Long Creek Christian Church and attended as long as her health permitted. She served as Sunday school teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Bertie Ward; sisters, Edith Dixon, Lucille Gregory, Margaret Ward; brothers, Lawrence Ward, Clearence Ward, Grover Ward and Albert Ward; nephews, Charles Foshie, Carroll Ward, Charles Ward and Rex Gregg. She is survived by her sister, Gladys Peters, of Greeneville; a special niece, Lesa Peters of Newport whom they always thought of as a daughter; others nieces and nephews, Stephen and Jean Peters, Emily Peters, Holly and Joe Scheppe, Sherry and Jimmy Foshie, Chad and Starsha Foshie, Randy Dixon, Jerry and Edna Dixon and family, Eugene and Joann Ward and family, Oscar and Ann Ward and family, R. C. Gregory and family, L.V. Ward and family, Kyle Ward and family, Phyllis and Bill King and family, Linda and Bob Doyle and family, Brenda and Jim Pershing and family, Larry Ward and family, Betty Ward and family, Barbara Kessler and family, Joann Wheeler and family, Beverly Ward and family, Marla Ward and family, J.D. and Iva Nease and family, Bill and Nellie Gregg and family, Marlene Dewesse and family, Eva Joyce Ottinger and family, Jean Wines and family, Gary Potter, Mary Lou Nease and Buddy Nease; also one special great-great niece, Chole Peters; two special great great-nephews, Hunter Foshie and Dakota Cox (Her little buddies!) and her little dog, "Penny"; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, July 9, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Manes Funeral Home. Pallbearers, Chad Foshie, Jimmy Foshie, Stephen Peters, Randy Dixon, Jerry Dixon, J.D. Nease and Billy Gregg; honorary Pallbearers, Dr. Tohme, employees of Amedisys Home Health and hospice, and special nurses, Diane, Ann, Kim, Gina and Sherry.
