Catherine Ann Flores

November 4, 1964 - January 11, 2022

Catherine Ann Caputo-Flores, "Cathy", age 57, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol, TN. She was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT on November 4, 1964 to Marilyn (Bringman) Caputo-Bryant & Anthony Caputo. She graduated from Crosby High School in 1981 in Waterbury, CT & moved on to work for the Assessor’s Office & School Business Office, both for the City of Waterbury, CT for a total of 27 years until retiring in 2020. She dreamt of moving to TN & did so upon retiring with her husband of 19 years, settling in Bybee, TN. She is survived by her husband & best friend Daniel A. Flores Sr., daughter Stephanie Wynne, step-daughter Shauna Watlington, granddaughter Luna Sage Lebrun, mother Marilyn Bryant, brother, Mark Caputo, as well as her extended family & an abundance of friends. Predeceased by her step-son Daniel A. Flores Jr., & father Anthony Caputo. We will all miss her more than words can say. Cathy's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence & the imprint she left on our hearts far exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. For the many newly acquired friends she made in TN, a Sunday service dedicated to her will be held at Briar Thicket Baptist Church, Bybee TN. For her longtime friends & family, her ashes will be spread at Badlands National Park, SD during Sturgis Bike Week, per her wishes, as she enjoyed traveling & riding motorcycles during her adventures. Dates of both to be announced in the near future. Besides her family, Cathy had a passion for animals & was never without one of her beloved dogs. Other interests include her many creative endeavors such as home décor, sewing, cooking, gardening & travel. Memorial donations may be made to "Friends of Cocke County Animal Shelter", Newport TN, in her memory, as she was an avid dog lover, advocate, & supporter of animal rights & welfare. The genuine, unconditional support, & love Cathy showed to her family is immeasurable. Her legacy will forever be in the hearts of all of those whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held 10:30 am Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Briar Thicket Baptist Church. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at: www.manesfuneralhome.com.
