Kiersten Hayley Thompson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kiersten Thompson, 23 of Cosby, passed away and received her perfect healing Friday July 8, 2022. She was part of the graduating class of 2017 at Cosby High School and was a beloved church member. Kiersten’s battle with cancer began as she was turning 17. As always, she continued greeting everyone with the same bright smile and without complaint, but it was her constant unwavering faith in God that left the first and last impression. Exodus 14:14: “The Lord shall fight for you and you shall keep your peace.” was one of her favorite bible verses and she amazingly obeyed that verse throughout her entire journey. One of Kiersten’s favorite roles in life was being a big sister and she not only loved and cared for her siblings but treated everyone she knew with the same warmth and love. She is survived by her Mom and Stepdad Danielle and Kevin Weatherby; Dad Jeff Thompson; Sisters Kylen Thompson and Kaycen Weatherby; Brothers K.C. and Kyler Weatherby; Grandparents Danny and Irene Carver of Cosby, Herb and Joyce Thompson of Morristown; Aunts Stacey Carver, Sherry (Scott) Halama; Uncle Richard (Loanne) Thompson and a multitude of extended family and friends that loved her and were loved by her dearly. The family will receive friends Thursday July 14, 2022, from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm with the service to follow at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, in Newport, TN with Brothers Robert Williamson, David Williamson and David Williams officiating. Family and Friends will meet at 10:00 am Friday, July 15, 2022, at Waters Large Cemetery in Cosby for graveside services and Interment.
