Randy Lee Denton

July 19, 1956 - May 13, 2022

Randy Lee Denton loving husband, son, and friend passed away after a courageous battle with major illness. Randy was born July 19, 1956 to Frances and Dovie Denton in Dyersburq, Tn. He graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1974, then continued his studies at Dyersburg Community College, UT Martin and UT Memphis. Randy worked hard to pursue his dream of becoming a pharmacist, and graduated with a Dr. of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee, Memphis Tn. In 1980. Randy's passion was being a pharmacist and many of his co-workers have commented that he was always kind, considerate, and caring with customers. He loved to be a prankster and enjoyed making his co-workers laugh too. He retired after more than 35 years, and missed his fellow pharmacists, co-workers, and friends he had met over the years. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Dovie Lee Denton, Paris, TN. He is survived by his wife, Lynnette Coggins Denton, Newport, Tn; Mother and stepfather, Frances and Jerry Carter of Paris, Tn; Mother-in-law, Hilda Coggins; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Bernice Cudzilo, Laura (Ronald) Munn, and Doris Canon; nieces and nephew, Lauryn Munn, Sam and Kaitlin Munn; great nephew, Dallas Munn, all of Newport, TN. Many special family and friends that he loved dearly. Randy was such a special person and we will miss him so much, but we know that he trusted his Savior and today is no longer in pain. Graveside services will be on Saturday, May 21st , 1:00 at Union Cemetery, Newport, TN. Memorials may be made to: Bethany Baptist Church 225 Vandyke Grove Rd.
