Ronald Blazer, age 72, of Parrottsville, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at his home. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was Road Commissioner, Cocke County School Bus Driver and a beef cattle farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents Estel and Edith Blazer, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Opal Hill, brothers, Braudus Blazer and L.V. Blazer, sisters, Patsy Blazer and Nedra Ottinger, sisters-in-law, Barbara Willis, Eliza Coggins, and brother-in-law, Larry Hill. He is survived by his wife Linda Blazer, of Parrottsville, daughter, Christie (Willie) Ramsey, of Parrottsville, grandson, Jarrett (Sadie) Ramsey of Newport, granddaughter, Abigail (Samuel) Hooper of Parrottsville, brothers, Norman Blazer, Randy Blazer, Ray Blazer, all of Parrottsville, Harold (Peggy) Blazer of Cosby, sisters Brenda (Jerry) Ellis of Newport, Reba Dean Rhodes of Burlington, NC, brothers-in-law, Arthur Willis of Del Rio, Leroy (Marjorie) Hill of Hartford, sisters-in-law, Love (Charles) Ball of Newport, Joyce Hill of Hartford, also a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm Saturday, February 19, 2022 with funeral service at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Jerry Sutton, Mike Hensley and Randall Frisbee officiating.
