Ruth Ford

Ruth G. Ford, age 95, of Cosby TN, died at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. She is the widower of J.I. Ford who she was married to for 55 years before his death. She was preceded in death by her parents Horace and Lola Green, husband J.I. Ford, brother Nick Green, and sisters Alma Baxter, Evelyn Hatley, and Betty Jo Ball. She is survived by her children, Wendell (Joyce) Ford, R D (Pat) Ford, Deanna (Stu) Smith, Gary (Dottie) Ford, and Teresa (Donnie) Webb, sister Peggy (J.C.) Pack, brother Bud Green grandchildren Barry Ford, Deedee Ball, Bryan Ford, Carrie Matthews, Amy Ford, Brad Ford, Brent Ford, Brandon Webb, and Amanda Ford, twenty three great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, family friends Janice Hicks, Frank Waldroup, Roger Ford, and Van Ford, and other family members and friends. Mrs. Ford was a longtime member of Denton Baptist Church and loved her church family and attending church as long as she was able. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Denton Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Miller officiating. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum. The Body will Lie in State from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm on Saturday at Denton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Manes Funeral Home.
