Virgie Ottinger

June 2, 1947 - February 27, 2022

Virgie Ottinger, age 74, of Newport, went to be with her Lord and Savior, unexpectedly after surgery on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Rhoda Garner, brothers, Cephus Garner, Richard Garner, sisters, Ella Mae Ivey, Helen Ottinger, and grandchildren, Adam Ottinger and Samantha Sheehee. She is survived by her son, Phillip (Evangeline) Ottinger, daughter Rhoda Ottinger, sisters, Molly Ottinger, Junie Owenby, and Wanda Faye Northern, granddaughters, Amy Ottinger, Alice Ottinger, granddaughter-in-law, Kristian Ottinger, great-grandchildren, Kennady Adisen-Grace Ottinger, John Sheehee,Ryan Sheehee, Levi Sheehee and Riley Holmes, several nieces, nephews, other family and friends including special nieces, Rhonda Reece and Bella Rose Cutshaw, and special friend Greg King. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, March 3, 2022 with funeral service following at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Randy Swann officiating.
