IN LOVING MEMORY OF Anna Katherine Woody February 22, 1946 – March 20, 2026 Anna Katherine Woody, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted follower of Christ, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 20, 2026. Born on February 22, 1946, to Kenneth and Effie (Southerland) Huff, Anna lived a life marked by faith, love, and deep devotion to her family. A faithful Christian, Anna loved Jesus with all her heart and found great joy in serving Him. She especially cherished singing at church and often spoke of the day she would join the heavenly choir, praising her Savior for eternity. Her life reflected her faith through kindness, generosity, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew her. Anna found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, traveling—first with her sister Mary and later making treasured memories with her daughters and grandchildren—watching The Voice, and shopping. She also dearly loved her cat, Winston, whose gentle presence brought her comfort, companionship, and quiet joy each day. Above all, she delighted in spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Essie and Lloyd Toby, and Mary and Everette Clark; her sister-in-law, Shirley Huff; and her nephew, Kenny Toby. On May 17, 1967, she married Wiley Woody, and together they built a life centered on faith, love, and family. Anna leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory always: Her devoted husband, Wiley Woody; Her daughters, Annesa Woody and Dionne Stutts (Tim); Her grandchildren, Olivia and Ken Fillers, Jaden Stutts Bullock (Jeremiah), and Caleb Stutts; Her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Peggy Huff; Her special nephew, Dana Clark, who was like a son to her, along with his wife, Chandie, and their son, Jackson; As well as her nephew, PJ (Paula) Huff, and her niece, Vicki (Jason) Hudson. She also leaves behind special friends who meant so much to her: Shirley Byrd, Harry and Jo Ellen Busch, and Stephen Busch. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Palliative and Hospice Care for the excellent and compassionate care provided during Anna’s final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to your personal church of attendance. Though her family grieves her passing, they rejoice in the assurance that Anna is now at peace in the presence of her Lord, singing praises in heaven.
