Bartholomew Joseph Dastolfo

We mournfully announce the passing of Bartholomew Joseph Dastolfo, 85, of Dandridge, TN. Bart passed away on December 24, 2023, at his home in Dandridge. Bart was born on June 27th, 1938, in Dividing Creek, NJ to Esther and Albert Dastolfo. Bart was the oldest of six children. Early in life, Bart learned the importance of family and hard work. Being the oldest child, he had a large role in helping with his siblings and family any way possible. He always worked hard to help his parents and family whenever necessary. In 1960, Bart enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country for two years. Once he returned home in 1962, it was not soon after that, he met the love of his life, Louise Samples. They were married on April 11th, 1965, and had 3 children, Victor, Kimberly, and Bartley. Bart worked as a Foreman carpenter, he built nuclear reactors, and he was a millwright of union 255 in NJ. Bart was a natural born leader and family man. He dedicated his life to taking care of his family. First his wife and children, and then his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy. He always carried pictures of his family and would show them off to anyone who would listen. He was always so very proud of each child and grandchild. He never met a stranger; Bart could easily strike up conversation with just about anyone he met. He was always pleasant and kind wherever he went. He moved to his cabin on the lake in TN for his wife to be closer to her immediate family in 1989.It was here that he became an avid gardener and pursued his love for life on the lake, which included fishing, taking out his boats, water skiing and working on his numerous gardens all around his home. Given any nice day, you could find Bart riding around the yard on his lawn mower with a wagon attached, with him working on a project in the garage or a garden with Louise. Bart had a love for classic cars, with his dream car being a 1957 black t-bird. His other interests included old western movies, Elvis Presley, CSI, and the six o'clock news. He enjoyed going out every weekend with Louise, "ramming" all around town to yard sales, flea markets, and anywhere his wife wanted to go. Bart was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ester and Albert Dastolfo, his little brother, Johnny Dastolfo, and his two little sisters, Alaina and Mary Lou Dastolfo, and his son, Victor Hollmann. Bart is survived by his wife- Louise Dastolfo, brother- Raymond Dastolfo and wife Terry, brother- Albert Dastolfo, daughter- Kimberly Kloepfer, son- Bartley Dastolfo and wife Melissa, granddaughter Megan Worex and her husband Travis, granddaughter Cassidy Kloepfer and her fiancé Kelsey McDavid, grandson Timothy Crumbley Jr. and girlfriend Savannah, and his great-grandchildren, Blake and Paisley Worex and Ella Crumbley. Bart was a strong, kind, loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, and grandfather. His love, guidance, and knowledge was the foundation of his family. "Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure." The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
