Elma Jean Mullins

Elma Jean Mullins, age 74, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband and loving soul mate, James Vineyard Mullins; father, Henry Sturm; mother, Pearl Hamlet; grandson, Alan Dean Stiles, Jr.; sisters, Gloria Ann Rucker and Wanda Mae Ware; brother, Roy Lee Carpenter; brothers-in-law, Robert Ware and Pete Congi; and nephew, David Ware. She is survived by her son, John (Debbie) Cavanaugh of Del Rio; daughters, Carol Stiles, of Florida, Cathy Burns and Bill Eigelsbach of Knoxville, Kathy (Kent) Smith of Pennsylvania and Pamela (Durial) Campbell of Newport; brother, Henry (Lucille) Sturm of Darlington, Maryland; sisters, Gae Congi of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Christine (Rev. Duane Waters) Clearwater, Florida; grandchildren, Amy and John Whitford of Orlando Florida, Charlie and Amanda Stiles of Sanford, Florida, Jessica Cavanaugh, Amanda Renner, Niki Campbell Webb, Joshua James and Mindy Campbell and, Louis Earle all of Newport, Alyssa Fields of Seymour, TN, Adam Smith, Phoenix, Arizona, Tommy, Keith and Jolene Smith, Sierra (Kevin) Johnson of Pennsylvania; great grandchildren, Tayler Lillian, Shaine Alan and Levi James Webb all of Cosby, Andrew John Whitford, of Orlando, Florida, Kenleigh Grace Campbell of Newport, and Liam Dean Stiles of Sanford, Florida; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ernest Mullins of West Virginia, Paul Mullins and companion Patsy Vaughn of Ohio, Shirley Rutkowsky of Georgia, Ruth (Tom) Leaf of Maryland, Kathy Elswick, Roger (Karen) Mullins, Sandra Elswick and Marcine Ann Mullins all of West Virginia; loving friends, and brother and sisters in the Lord, Juanita Walker, Howard (Cubby) and Juanita Reed, also several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 23, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev.
