In Loving Memory of Michael David Britt It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael David Britt, age 43, on July 29, 2026. Michael’s life was marked by both joys and challenges. While he faced hardships throughout his journey, he was deeply loved by his family, and his passing leaves a space that can never truly be filled. Those who knew and loved Michael will always remember that every life has a story, every person leaves an imprint, and every memory is worth holding onto. Michael was known for his ability to put a smile on people’s faces and make someone laugh, even during difficult times. He had a way of bringing humor and light into a room, and those memories will remain with the people who knew him. Above all, Michael loved his children dearly, even when that love was sometimes from a distance. His children held a special place in his heart. He often called his oldest daughter “Toots,” a nickname that may have seemed small at the time but is something she will carry with her forever. Michelle Gorrell, the mother of his children and Michael’s first love, remained someone he cared deeply about throughout his life. Although they had not been together for many years, the love and history they shared never completely faded. Whenever he would see Michelle out in town, he would make sure she knew that he loved her. Their greatest connection will always be the children they shared. Michael is survived by his daughters, Mikayla Britt (Brandon Carter) and Mckendra Britt; his grandchildren, Hadley, Atticus, and Axton; his stepfather, Daniel Estrada; his sister, Tessa Estrada; his brothers, Jeffery (Annette) Worth and Randall (Penney) Worth; special friend Jessica Ledford; along with many other friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to carry his memory. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sandra Worth; his father, John Britt; and his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Cutshaw and Ray Cutshaw. Michael’s life was not without struggles, and he faced battles that were difficult for him and for those who loved him. But his story was more than his struggles. He was a father, a son, a brother, a grandfather, and a friend. He was someone who could make people laugh, someone who loved his children, and someone whose presence left memories that will remain long after his passing. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Michael’s struggles have come to an end and that he is now at peace. He will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, his smile, his sense of humor, and the little things he said and did will live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. The family has chosen cremation and will be holding a Celebration of Life in August to honor and remember Michael.
