Rebecca Sue (Conard) McGaha. We are so sad to share that our beautiful and beloved Rebecca Sue (Conard) McGaha passed away unexpectedly. She went to be with the Lord, her parents, her cherished son and his family, on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the age of 68. She was the kind of person who just made life brighter. Rebecca Sue was incredibly kind, always giving, and had a gift for making you feel truly special. She always made sure those around her knew they were, in her eyes, beautiful, inside and out. For 47 years she was a constant source of comfort to her family. Serving as a proud Army wife, she followed her husband where our government deemed, supporting his career and honoring his service to our nation. Though life brought its challenges and struggle, her commitment to her family remained strong. She took immense pleasure in cooking, cleaning, and caring for her husband and sons. To her, her boys could do no wrong. She loved them unconditionally just as they were. We her family, knowing she nor any of us being perfect, loved her unconditionally as she was. She was a daughter who deeply loved her parents. She brought that same warmth to the rest of her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, and seemed happiest when surrounded by her husband, sons, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews, playing cards, and sharing games and laughs. Great loss and a terrible wreck altered her bubbly demeaner and fellowship for the past few years. We lost her way too soon it seems. However, the Lord thought otherwise and allowed her to go to sleep and awake in His presence, pain and trouble free. For the time we have remaining, her memory will be cherished till we meet again. The Apostle Paul comforts us in our grief by explaining in 1 Thessalonians 4:13 -18 that we should sorrow not as those which have no hope. But if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, those that sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. He also states, we which are alive and remain unto the coming of The Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. “For The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet The Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Paul finishes by telling us to comfort one another with these words”. Rebecca Sue McGaha was preceded in death by her parents Rev. James Blaine Conard and Myrtle Lee Wood Conard, son Danny Roy McGaha, Jr., and his wife Jessica McGaha and their children, Cheyanne, Daniel and Hannah, brothers J. B. Conard Jr., Bobby Lee Conard, Sr., and Samuel Glenn Conard, niece, Melissa Ann Hale Brooks, mother-in-law Pauline Green and father-in-law Ashley Green; sister-in-law, Janice Conard, brothers-in-law Sgt Chester L. McGaha and Albert Ray Green. She leaves behind her devoted husband 1st Sgt Danny Roy McGaha, Sr., and loving son James A. McGaha, grandchildren, Caleb Russell his wife Adessa and their daughter Lainey Danielle Russell, Megan Russell and family, brothers Earl Dale Conard, and family, Wayne Lewis Conard and family, sisters Lorane (Mike) Runyan and family, Myrna Lou (Chuck) Livesay and family, Karen Gail (Jake) Hale and family, sister-in-law Wanda Stanley and family, Brenda Dennis Conard, Vicky Jarnigan and family, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and along with other close family and friends. The family would like to celebrate her life with you on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Manes Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with the funeral service following at 7:00 pm In Manes Funeral Home Chapel.
