Sarah Williford Hartsell

Sarah Mae Williford-Hartsell, age 90, of Newport, passed away March 16, 2023. She was a long time member of Edgemont Church of God. She is preceded in death by the love of her life Earnest “Earnie” Hartsell; son, Ronnie Hartsell; grand-daughter, Brooke Hartsell; son-in-law, Tommy Morrow, parents, Hobert Williford and Loeda Williford-Cook; sisters, Magdalene Thompson, Ruby (Ronnie) Lawson-Whitehurst. Frances Headrick; brothers, Lewis Edward Williford, Lee Williford, James Williford; mother and father-in-law, Charlie and Nannie Hartsell; and special sister-in-law, Ruby Eslinger. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Jay) Chrisman, Linda Hartsell; daughter-in-law, Mary Etta Hartsell; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jody) Velez, Orin (Ritchie) Miscione, Ronald (Ronnie) Keith Hartsell, Jayson (Lindsey) Chrisman, Michael (Janey) Chrisman, Brandi Carr; great-grandchildren, Sara Velez, Hannah Hartsell, Rory Walker, Scott ( Kinsey Brooks) Velez, Dakota Hartsell, Harper Grace Chrisman, William Miscione, Christina Miscione; great-great-grandchildren, Baylor Greyson, Payeton Cooper Velez; sister-in-law’s, Mary Lindsey, Dorothy Hickey and Betty Dunn; special friends Alecia Shelton, Laura Calfee, as well as all the caregivers of Amedisys Home Health in Newport, TN and Amedisys Hospice in Morristown, TN, also special extended family, Yvonne Fleming, Bonnie Ray, and Vanessa Tyson. Sarah and Earnie Hartsell, it is difficult to speak of one without the other, will be long remembered as someone who touched the lives of everyone they met. They had a huge-giving heart and sincere love for family and friends. Always willing to help those in need. Sarah is at last reunited with the loves of her life and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In lieu of food, the family requests that food donations go to Feed My Sheep Ministries, 125 C. Avenue, Newport, TN 37821, or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. -7 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Manes Funeral Home. Service to follow with Rev. Mark Hatley and Rev. Owens officiating.
